Excitation regulators integrate with multiple advanced control laws such as PID, PID+PSS, linear optimal excitation control, self-adaptive optimal excitation control, nonlinear dynamic PSS and can meet requirements for various system control.
The stable and fast operating 32-bit floating-point digital signal processor of TMS320C3X Series produced by TI Company, USA is used as core hardware platform, with the help of 32-bit high-speed programmable controllers (PCC) of 2005 Series produced by B&R Company, Austria to achieve logic control, operation and communication of system, thus improving the operating speed and high reliability of the device as a whole.
Double microcomputer channels are used. Each microcomputer channel contains two DSP control plates, and there are four DSP plates for hierarchical control for double channels. The high-speed CAN network enables real-time messaging and highly redundant system of fault detection of cross-check.
With color LCD touch screen, graphical user interface and Help menu in Chinese, and powerful functions of engineering management. Dynamic parameter display and set point changing are enabled. There is a real-time display of the entire electrical parametric curves of excitation system according to users’ requirements, and manual or automatic fault recording to help users analyze and recall the incidents.
With the mode of blower-free circular heat pipe cooling for the rectifier cabinet, the output capacity and operating reliability of the power rectifier cabinet is greatly improved. The maximum output current of single cabinet without air can be 3000A, and the rated current is 2S00A. if the configuration scheme of parallel connection of four cabinets is used, the output power and current can meet the requirements for excitation power by large-scale, including 1000MW capacity level, hydroelectric power, thermal power and nuclear power generator set.
The de-excitation scheme of combination of large-capacity ZnO de-excitation resistors and temperature sensitive resistor PTC with positive temperature coefficient is used for de-excitation, and the property of positive temperature of PTC component is used for pressure build-up in order to cooperate with large-capacity ZnO nonlinear resistors for de-excitation, thus freeing the ability of pressure buildup of de-excitation from the restriction of de-excitation switch, improving the reliability of de-excitation system, raising de-excitation speed and reducing the loss of accidents.
